1 Thessaloniciens 3.6

Mais Timothée venant d'arriver de chez vous auprès de nous, et nous ayant apporté les bonnes nouvelles de votre foi et de votre amour, et nous ayant dit que vous gardez toujours un bon souvenir de nous, désirant ardemment de nous voir, comme nous aussi nous désirons vous voir ; -
Notre reconnaissance envers Dieu reste très imparfaite, vu l'état actuel de notre propre nature ; mais un des buts de Sa Parole, est d'aider à progresser dans la foi.

La Parole, qui nous a permis d’obtenir la foi, nous permet également de la faire croître et de l’affermir par la connaissance des ordonnances divines ; comme la foi vient de ce qu’on entend, (Romains 10:17)* elle est également confirmée de la même manière !

Mais voici que Timothée vient d’arriver de chez vous, nous rapportant d’excellentes nouvelles. Il nous dit que vous tenez fermes dans la foi et dans l’amour, que vous nous conservez constamment dans votre bon souvenir et que votre désir de nous revoir est aussi vif que le nôtre.
