Grec : "dans l'affaire."

Plusieurs interprètes ont cru voir à verset 6 un développement de verset 5, et entendent ces mots du tort que l'on peut faire à un frère par le péché de l'adultère. Cette explication n'est point fondée ; les termes renferment évidemment l'idée d'une injustice faite dans les rapports ordinaires de la vie, et en particulier dans les affaires du commerce. Thessalonique, avec son trafic si multiplié et étendu, pouvait offrir mainte tentation de cette nature. Les chrétiens devaient donner l'exemple de la plus scrupuleuse honnêteté.
