וַיַּ֣עַל הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ בֵּית־יְ֠הוָה וְכָל־אִ֨ישׁ יְהוּדָ֜ה וְיֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם וְכָל־הָעָ֖ם מִגָּד֣וֹל וְעַד־קָטָ֑ן וַיִּקְרָ֣א בְאָזְנֵיהֶ֗ם אֶת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵי֙ סֵ֣פֶר הַבְּרִ֔ית הַנִּמְצָ֖א בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃
Alors le roi envoya assembler tous les anciens de Juda et de Jérusalem.

Au lieu de : les Lévites, 2 Rois dit : les prophètes. L'auteur de 2 Rois réunit sous le terme sacrificateurs tout ce qui se rattache à la tribu de Lévi (sacrificateurs et lévites), tandis que notre auteur a ignoré ou n'a pas jugé à propos de mentionner spécialement la présence des prophètes. Il y a évidemment chez lui une propension à mettre les Lévites en évidence.
