2 Corinthiens 6.16

Introduire une idole dans le temple de Dieu était regardé comme une abomination. Or, le chrétien est ce temple : oh ! s'il avait la même horreur des idoles !

- Une variante très autorisée porte : Nous sommes le temple, au lieu de vous êtes.

Lévitique 26.12 ; comparez 1Corinthiens 3.17. L'Eglise est le temple spirituel dans lequel se réalise la promesse de la présence de Dieu.
