2 Rois 1.1-21

Segond 21 et il donna un libérateur à Israël. Les Israélites échappèrent à la domination des Syriens et habitèrent tranquillement chez eux comme avant.

World English Bible (Yahweh gave Israel a savior, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel lived in their tents as before.

Et l'Eternel donna à Israël un libérateur : non pas immédiatement ; ces mots se rapportent jusqu'à un certain point à Joas, mais surtout à Jéroboam II, qui rétablit complètement la puissance du royaume d'Israël.

Habitèrent dans leurs tentes. Les Israélites qui, pendant l'oppression syrienne, s'étaient réfugiés dans les villes fortes, purent rentrer dans leurs demeures, et cela dans tout le pays.
