Les vases sacrés en avaient été emportés. Ici, Nébucadnetsar vide le trésor du temple et celui du roi.Il brisa. Les vases intacts que les Israélites rapportèrent de Babylone (Esdras 1.7), et dont Belsatsar se servit (Daniel 5.2), étaient ceux que Nébucadnetsar avait emportés dans le temps de Jéhojakim. Ici il enlève, en les mettant en pièces, les plaques d'or qui recouvraient divers meubles sacrés (arche, autel d'or, table des pains de proposition).
