Mésa (délivrance).

Roi de Moab : roi tributaire de Joram.

Elevait du bétail : comparez Genèse 42.6. Le pays de Moab, allant de l'Arnon au nord jusqu'au Wadi-el-Ahsa au sud, n'avait pas plus de 50 kilomètres de long sur 35 à 40 de large, mais il était très-fertile (Esaïe 16.7 et suivants) et les chiffres mentionnés ici ne sont pas exagérés. Ce tribut, auquel Esaïe 16.1, fait allusion, était annuel.
