Comme l'Eternel le lui a juré. Tout ce qui s'était passé précédemment avait clairement manifesté l'intention de Dieu d'élever David à la place de Saül ; et ce qui s'était fait entre Samuel et David, lors de son onction, avait sans doute été connu des fils des prophètes et, par eux, du peuple.
