La description de versets 6,7 rappelle Daniel 7.21,25.

Le tabernacle de Dieu est dans le ciel ; il ne représente pas le temple de Jérusalem, ce terme est expliqué par les mots mis en apposition : ceux qui habitent dans le ciel. Dans le texte reçu (Q. versions), ces mots sont précédés de la conjonction et, qui les coordonne simplement au nom et au tabernacle.

Les habitants du ciel sont les anges ou les fidĂšles glorifiĂ©s, distincts des saints, (verset 7) auxquels la bĂȘte a licence de faire la guerre.

Ces saints sont "le reste des enfants de la femme" (Apocalypse 12.17)

La guerre, et la victoire remportĂ©e par la bĂȘte, n'est ni le massacre des chrĂ©tiens par NĂ©ron en 64, ni la prise de JĂ©rusalem par les Romains en 70, mais une grande persĂ©cution qu'exercera l'AntĂ©christ Ă  venir. (Comparer Apocalypse 11.7)
