World English Bible I saw an angel flying in mid heaven, having an eternal Good News to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, tribe, language, and people.

Ce texte semble désigner le progrès de la Réforme. Les quatre proclamations de ces anges sont claires et significatives ! Que cela puisse encourager tous les chrétiens, au temps de l'épreuve, à rester fidèles à leur Seigneur.

L'Évangile est le parfait moyen qui peut amener les hommes à craindre Dieu et à Lui rendre gloire. La prédication de l'Évangile éternel ébranle les fondements de l'antéchrist ici-bas, elle en accélère la chute.

Si certains persistent à être assujettis à la bête, et à promouvoir sa cause, ils doivent s’attendre à rester éternellement misérables, aussi bien dans leur âme que dans leur corps.

Le croyant doit oser entreprendre tout ce qui est conforme aux commandements divins, il doit professer sa foi en Jésus. Puisse Dieu nous remplir d’une telle attitude !

Observons la description de ceux qui sont, et seront bénis : - Certains sont morts dans le Seigneur ; ils meurent pour la cause de Christ, dans une union parfaite avec Lui.

- D’autres sont trouvés « en Christ », quand la mort survient. Ils se reposent de tout péché, de toute tentation, de toute peine, et de toute persécution ; le méchant cesse d’être dangereux, alors que sa « proie » fatiguée se repose dans le Seigneur.

- Leurs œuvres les suivent : elles ne les précèdent pas comme des titres, mais elles les suivent, pour bien prouver qu'ils ont vécu et sont morts DANS le Seigneur ; le souvenir qu’ils laisseront sera doux et paisible, et leur rétribution sera bien supérieure à tous leurs services rendus et leurs souffrances endurées.

Ces différentes certitudes sont attestées par le témoignage de l'Esprit et le fondement de la Parole de Dieu !
