Apocalypse 17.18

Ce verset donne enfin la clef du "mystère de la femme," verset 7.

La grande ville qui a la royauté sur les rois de la terre est une périphrase par laquelle les écrivains du temps, païens ou Juifs, désignaient Rome. Cette désignation, si catégorique, s'oppose aux hypothèses de ceux qui voient dans la femme l'Église déchue.

    • Daniel 2

      40 The fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron, because iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things; and as iron that crushes all these, shall it break in pieces and crush.
