C'est-à-dire livré à la seconde mort. La mort du corps est suivie pour lui de la mort seconde, de la mort de l'âme, qui meurt éternellement, sans espoir de revivre.

Il n'est encore parlé que de la destinée finale des puissances ennemies et des hommes condamnés. La vision suivante dépeindra la condition de ceux qui sont inscrits dans le livre de la vie.
