- Avoir la liberté d'entrer par les portes dans la ville, c'est y avoir droit de cité. Comparer Apocalypse 21.25,27.

- Ceux-là seuls ont ce droit qui auront lavé leurs robes, c'est-à-dire purifié, sanctifié leur vie. Comment ? Jean l'a indiqué déjà Apocalypse 22.7.14

- Au lieu de : qui lavent leurs robes (Sin., A) on lit dans Q. majuscules : qui font ses commandements.
