Deutéronome 2.25

Ta frayeur et ta crainte : celles que tu inspires. La crainte est un sentiment plus durable que la frayeur. Comparez le cantique Nombres 21.27-30, où l'on voit quelle joie causa aux Israélites leur victoire sur Sihon, jadis vainqueur des Moabites, et de quel découragement cette même victoire dut frapper tous les peuples voisins, ennemis des Israélites.
