Retour aux versets 9 et 10. Que l'homme désarme donc devant Dieu ! Qu'il se pénètre de l'idée que tout ce qui arrive en fait de biens et de maux est pour son éducation. C'est là l'œuvre de Dieu.

Ce qu'il a courbé : ce que Dieu a trouvé bon de faire autre que ce que nous aurions désiré et que ce qu'il ferait si le monde était dans un état normal (1.15).
