Esdras 3.10-13

World English Bible They sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to Yahweh, "For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Israel." All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Yahweh, because the foundation of the house of Yahweh had been laid.

Ils s'entre-répondaient... : ils chantaient des cantiques tels que les Psaumes 106, 107 ou 118, qui commencent par cette invitation à louer Dieu ; une partie des sacrificateurs et des Lévites disaient : Louez et célébrez l'Eternel, car il est bon, après quoi l'autre partie répondait : Car sa miséricorde dure toujours. Mais on pourrait traduire aussi : Ils entonnaient... sans qu'il y eût d'autre réponse que les cris de joie du peuple entier.
