Le festin d'Esther. Le festin qu'on faisait lorsqu'une nouvelle reine était choisie, portait le nom de cette reine.

Du repos : exemption partielle d'impôt, de corvées, de service militaire. Comparez Hérodote III, 67.

D'une magnificence royale, littéralement : comme la main d'un roi peut en faire (comparez 1.7).
