Une mine chétive. Le sens propre du mot serait : des yeux délicats, ternes ; mais la comparaison avec Rachel, qui était belle de taille et belle de visage, parait exiger un sens plus général, auquel on arrive en donnant au mot pluriel qui signifie yeux le sens d'aspect, apparence qu'il a quelquefois au singulier (Nombres 11.7 ; Ezéchiel 1.4 ; 10.9 etc.). De là notre traduction.
