Encore un passage difficile à expliquer, si même le texte n'est pas altéré. Dans la traduction que nous proposons, nous réunissons les derniers mots du verset 1 au verset 5. Le sens est : C'est en pure perte que vous vous défendez avec acharnement contre les Chaldéens ; vous ne réussissez qu'à remplir de cadavres vos maisons détruites.
