Développement de la pensée que Dieu appesantit sur tous sa forte main. en dépit de ce que Job a exposé au chapitre 24.

Ils meurent : les puissants.

Mais non par une main [d'homme], littéralement : et non par main. Comparez Zacharie 4.6 ; Daniel 2.34. Il semble qu'aucune cause n'ait amené la ruine de ce puissant, tant l'action de Dieu échappe à nos observations et à nos calculs.
