Celles qui boitent, les dispersées.... Il y a en hébreu le participe singulier féminin : celle qui boite, qui est dispersée, éloignée. Ce participe est ici un collectif, comme cela résulte des verbes mêmes recueillirai..., rassemblerai. de même que les termes nation puissante,...régnera sur eux... (verset 7) montrent que nous avons donc été fidèles au sens en traduisant par le pluriel. Les images se rapportent à un troupeau de brebis (comparez 2.12). L'Eternel a blessé, fait du mal, dispersé les brebis, c'est-à-dire châtié rudement et jeté en exil son peuple ; maintenant, il veut le guérir, c'est-à-dire lui pardonner et le rétablir.
