Point lavée de sa souillure. Plusieurs pensent que cette souillure consiste à se croire pur (début du verset). Il est plus naturel d'y voir en général des péchés, sur lesquels on est aveuglé, en sorte qu'on se croit en règle avec Dieu, lors même qu'on ne les a pas abandonnés.
