12 à 15 Onzième discours

Contre la fourberie. Brève description du trompeur et annonce du châtiment, soudain qui l'atteindra. Cet être malfaisant est dessiné en sept coups de crayon (versets 12, 13 et 14).

Si le paresseux, l’inactif, sont condamnés par la Parole, combien plus le seront, ceux qui pratiquent tout le mal possible. Observons la description d’un tel homme : tout ce qu’il dit, tous ses actes, sont faits avec ruse, avec préméditation. Sa ruine viendra sans avertissement, et sans ménagement.

Dieu a nommé dans ce texte, tout ce qu’Il hait. Les péchés qui figurent sur cette liste, sont d'une certaine manière, une provocation pour Dieu, ils nuisent à une vie paisible. Ces points, détestés par Dieu, doivent être d’abord évités pour nous-mêmes, et ne les cherchons pas chez notre prochain !

Fuyons toutes les mauvaises pratiques mentionnées dans ce passage, veillons et prions pour éviter de les commettre ; affichons ouvertement notre désapprobation envers ceux qui les pratiquent et qui en sont coupables, quel que puisse être leur rang social !
