Celui qui calomnie en secret. David avait eu trop à souffrir lui-même des insinuations perfides de la calomnie, pour leur accorder non seulement le moindre crédit, mais la moindre indulgence (Psaumes 10.7 ; 15.3 ; 27.12 ; 35.11, etc.).

Un cœur enflé : un esprit ambitieux, rempli de prétentions (Proverbes 21.4).
