Ceux qui se font des sentiers tortueux. Le faux Israël veut bien arriver au bonheur promis, mais en évitant les luttes et l'opprobre d'une confession franche de sa foi. L'Eternel ne fait pas de différence entre ces faux serviteurs et les ouvriers d'iniquité. Ils se verront contraints, comme par une logique vengeresse, à aller jusqu'au bout dans la voie du mal qui est celle de la perdition.
Les ouvriers d'iniquité sont, pensons-nous, pour le psalmiste, les Juifs qui ont ouvertement apostasié.
Paix sur Israël : sur l'Israël de Dieu (Galates 6.16). Ce vœu, qui termine aussi le Psaume 128, pourrait bien -être, dans ce cas-ci, une addition liturgique, destinée à adoucir, pour la lecture publique, la menace terrible du dernier verset du psaume.
