Ce pauvre corps desséché est dévoré par une soif ardente (Jean 19.28) ; l'affligé se sent à l'avance descendre dans la poussière du tombeau, et il doit se dire que c'est Dieu qui a donné force à ses ennemis et l'a ainsi jeté dans cet abîme : tu m'as couché dans la poussière.
