Dans mon intégrité. Comparez Psaumes 15.2 ; 25.21.
David, dans ce psaume, rappelle à Dieu Son intégrité.
- David, ici, par l'Esprit prophétique, parle de lui-même comme étant une image de Christ, mentionnant dans ses propos sa réelle innocence, ce qui était en fait assurément vrai ; nous pouvons appliquer cela à Christ, et à Lui seulement. Nous avons tout pleinement en Lui. L'homme qui marche en toute intégrité, en faisant pleinement confiance en la grâce de Dieu, se trouve être dans un état qui favorise l'accès au salut, selon la promesse de Jésus, le médiateur, en vertu de sa remarquable obéissance, jusqu'à la mort. Cet homme désire avoir son âme pleinement attirée et transformée par le Seigneur. Il est conscient du piteux état de son cœur ; il désire vraiment identifier son péché pour pouvoir en être lavé ; il languit d'être un véritable croyant et de pouvoir accomplir les commandements de Dieu. Le fait d'avoir soin d'éviter les mauvaises compagnies est à la fois une évidence de notre intégrité et un bon moyen de la conserver.On peut voir quelquefois certains hypocrites et prétentieux rechercher les ordonnances divines ; pour nous, si nous pratiquons les mêmes choses, comme l'a dit et fait le psalmiste, à savoir la repentance et l'obéissance consciencieuse, c'est encore un bon signe de sincérité. Il constate que son pied est ferme ; et comme il se réjouit en bénissant le Seigneur avec Son peuple ici-bas, il sait que bientôt il rejoindra la grande assemblée dans les cieux, en chantant des prières à Dieu et à l'Agneau, éternellement.
