Tu as fait monter l'homme mortel... littéralement : Tu as fait chevaucher l'homme mortel sur nos têtes. L'hébreu ne permet pas de traduire : par-dessus nos têtes, comme s'il s'agissait d'un champ de bataille où morts et blessés sont foulés aux pieds des chevaux. L'expression chevaucher sur signifie : traiter tyranniquement et outrageusement. Israël a dû baisser la tête sous les exigences de maîtres qui, avec toutes leurs prétentions, n'étaient que des hommes mortels. Le terme énosch désigne l'homme dans ce qu'il a de débile et de misérable. Ce sont de tels hommes qui, de tout leur poids, ont pesé sur les têtes du peuple de Dieu.
