Louange à Dieu pour tout ce qu'il a fait pour Son peuple. (Psaumes 81:1-7)

Toute l'adoration que nous pouvons rendre au Seigneur se trouve placée sous Sa majesté ; nous Lui en sommes redevables, en particulier de par la rédemption qu'Il a faite pour notre péché et de la colère dont nous sommes épargnés.

Israël a gardé en mémoire ce que Dieu a fait pour lui. La délivrance divine révèle toute Sa grâce, toute Sa gloire et il est bon de remarquer que toutes les épreuves dont nous avons été l'objet se sont soldées par Sa guérison.

Nous ne devrions jamais oublier les lourdes peines que Satan, notre oppresseur, nous envoie. Mais c'est quand notre âme est dans la détresse qu'elle doit crier au Seigneur sa délivrance ; Il répond alors à nos prières et nous délivre. Les convictions du péché et les peines de l'affliction prouvent qu'Il regarde Son peuple.

Si le peuple Juif, lors de ses fêtes solennelles se rappelait comment il avait été sauvé de l'esclavage d'Égypte, combien devrions-nous, lors de nos journées de sabbat chrétien, garder à l'esprit la glorieuse rédemption de notre servitude, apportée par notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
