La bible annotée Commentaire de Matthew Henry

Un peuple humble et chétif. Ces deux mots, presque synonymes en hébreu et souvent réunis dans l'Ancien Testament, expriment le sentiment de l'impuissance à faire le bien et du besoin de la grâce divine pour le salut ; de là découle naturellement le qui se confiera dans le nom de l'Eternel.
