Car : Car, si tu ne réussis pas, il ne me restera plus qu'à livrer ce troupeau au sort qu'il s'est préparé. C'est donc ici le suprême effort de la grâce divine.

Les habitants du pays. Tout le peuple de Dieu périra par deux causes :

  1. il s'entre-détruira par les discordes civiles ;
  2. il sera abandonné au conquérant qui deviendra son roi.

Ils écraseront : ce conquérant avec son armée désolera le pays et détruira le peuple.
