1 Corinthiens 2.10

Dieu, par Son Esprit, nous a montré la véritable Sagesse. Nous avons dans 2Pierre 1:21, une preuve de l'autorité divine des saintes Écritures. Par cette preuve, sachons bien respecter la Divinité du Saint-Esprit, nous persuadant qu’Il connaît toutes choses, même les plus impénétrables, concernant la Personne divine.

Personne ne peut connaître Dieu, de lui-même, si ce n'est par le Saint-Esprit, qui est « un » avec le Père et le Fils, et qui fait connaître les mystères divins à l’église. Il ne peut y avoir de témoignage plus clair, à la fois de la véritable divinité du Seigneur et de la personne distincte du Saint-Esprit.

Les apôtres n'étaient pas guidés par les principes de ce monde. Ils disposaient de la révélation spirituelle accordée par l'Esprit de Dieu. Ces vérités, enseignées par le Saint-Esprit, ont été déclarées clairement et simplement, étant radicalement différentes de l'éloquence ou des paroles séduisantes de ceux qui se prétendent sages. Celui qui rejette Dieu, ne peut recevoir ce que peut communiquer l'Esprit Saint.

L’orgueil, le raisonnement charnel, comme les sentiments les plus vils, sont opposés à toute spiritualité. L'âme sanctifiée discerne les véritables beautés de la sainteté, tout en gardant le bon sens et le discernement opposés aux pièges du monde. L'homme charnel est étranger aux principes, aux joies et aux agissements de la vie divine. Seul l'homme spirituel peut bénéficier de ce que Dieu accorde, selon Sa Volonté.

Ceux qui ont par eux-mêmes, une connaissance de l'Esprit de Dieu sont vraiment peu nombreux ! Les apôtres ont été rendus capables, par l’Esprit, de faire connaître les pensées du Seigneur. Dans les Saintes Écritures, la pensée de Christ et celle de Dieu, en Son fils, nous sont pleinement révélées. De quel grand privilège disposent les chrétiens, dans la révélation de la pensée de Christ, par Son Esprit ! Ils expérimentent dans leur cœur, Son pouvoir de sanctification, et produisent de bons « fruits » durant toute leur vie !
