1 Rois 11.1-13

Segond 21 L'Eternel dit alors à Salomon : « Puisque tu as agi de cette manière et que tu n'as pas respecté mon alliance ni les prescriptions que je t'avais données, je vais t’arracher la royauté et la donner à ton serviteur.

World English Bible Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon, "Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

Et l'Eternel dit à Salomon : sans doute par le ministère d'un prophète (6.11), peut-être d'Ahija (verset 29).

Et que tu n'as pas gardé mon alliance, sur laquelle reposait l'existence même du peuple. David, malgré ses fautes, n'avait pas fait cela.

Je déchirerai le royaume. La punition correspond à la faute (verset 13). En légitimant des cultes différents, Salomon avait profondément déchiré le sentiment religieux de son peuple.
