2 Chroniques 12.7

Dès que le Seigneur vit cela, il adressa de nouveau la parole à Chemaya : « Puisqu’ils ont reconnu leur faute, dit-il, je ne vais pas les exterminer. Sous peu je leur accorderai une délivrance, car je renonce à déverser ma colère sur Jérusalem au point de laisser Chichac détruire cette ville.
Et quand l'Éternel vit qu'ils s'humiliaient, la parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Schemaeja : Ils se sont humiliés, je ne les détruirai pas, je ne tarderai pas à les secourir, et ma colère ne se répandra pas sur Jérusalem par Schischak ;
