Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance; and he joined affinity with Ahab.

After certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. Ahab killed sheep and cattle for him in abundance, and for the people who were with him, and moved him to go up with him to Ramoth Gilead.

Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, "Will you go with me to Ramoth Gilead?" He answered him, "I am as you are, and my people as your people. We will be with you in the war."

Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Please inquire first for the word of Yahweh."

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?" They said, "Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king."

But Jehoshaphat said, "Isn't there here a prophet of Yahweh besides, that we may inquire of him?"

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla." Jehoshaphat said, "Don't let the king say so."

Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, "Get Micaiah the son of Imla quickly."
9
Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, and they were sitting in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
10
Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, "Thus says Yahweh, 'With these you shall push the Syrians, until they are consumed.'"
11
All the prophets prophesied so, saying, "Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper; for Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king."

The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Let your word therefore, please be like one of theirs, and speak good."

Micaiah said, "As Yahweh lives, what my God says, that will I speak."

When he had come to the king, the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?" He said, "Go up, and prosper. They shall be delivered into your hand."
15
The king said to him, "How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Yahweh?"
16
He said, "I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. Yahweh said, 'These have no master. Let them return every man to his house in peace.'"
17
The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Didn't I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?"
18
Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of Yahweh: I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.
19
Yahweh said, 'Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead?' One spoke saying in this way, and another saying in that way.
20
A spirit came out, stood before Yahweh, and said, 'I will entice him.' "Yahweh said to him, 'How?'
21
"He said, 'I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' "He said, 'You will entice him, and will prevail also. Go forth, and do so.'
22
"Now therefore, behold, Yahweh has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets; and Yahweh has spoken evil concerning you."
23
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, "Which way did the Spirit of Yahweh go from me to speak to you?"
24
Micaiah said, "Behold, you shall see on that day, when you shall go into an inner room to hide yourself."
25
The king of Israel said, "Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;
26
and say, 'Thus says the king, "Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace."'"
27
Micaiah said, "If you return at all in peace, Yahweh has not spoken by me." He said, "Listen, you peoples, all of you!"

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
29
The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but you put on your robes." So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went into the battle.
30
Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, "Fight neither with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel."
31
It happened, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, "It is the king of Israel!" Therefore they turned around to fight against him. But Jehoshaphat cried out, and Yahweh helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.
32
It happened, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.
33
A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of the chariot, "Turn your hand, and carry me out of the army; for I am severely wounded."
34
The battle increased that day. However the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the evening; and about the time of the going down of the sun, he died.

Le roi Josaphat est très riche et couvert d’honneurs. Il unit sa famille par mariage à la famille d’Akab, roi d’Israël.

Au bout de quelques années, Josaphat va trouver Akab à Samarie. Pour lui et pour ceux qui sont avec lui, Akab fait préparer une grande quantité de moutons et de bœufs. Puis il essaie de persuader Josaphat d’aller attaquer avec lui la ville de Ramoth de Galaad.

Akab, roi d’Israël, demande à Josaphat, roi de Juda : « Est-ce que tu acceptes de venir avec moi attaquer Ramoth de Galaad ? » Josaphat lui répond : « Nous ne faisons qu’un, toi et moi. Mes soldats sont tes soldats. Je pars au combat avec toi. »

Mais Josaphat ajoute : « Consulte d’abord le SEIGNEUR. »

Alors le roi d’Israël réunit ses prophètes. Ils sont 400. Akab leur demande : « Est-ce que nous devons aller combattre pour reprendre Ramoth de Galaad, oui ou non ? » Les prophètes répondent : « Oui, tu peux y aller, Dieu te livrera la ville. »

Pourtant, Josaphat demande : « Est-ce qu’il n’y a pas un autre prophète qui peut consulter le SEIGNEUR pour nous ? »

Le roi d’Israël répond : « Nous pourrions demander à Michée, fils d’Imla, mais je le déteste. En effet, il ne m’annonce jamais rien de bon, mais toujours du mal. » Josaphat dit à Akab : « Ne dis pas cela ! »

Alors le roi d’Israël envoie un fonctionnaire du palais chercher Michée, fils d’Imla, le plus vite possible.

Le roi d’Israël et le roi de Juda se trouvent sur la place qui est près de la porte de Samarie. Chacun est assis sur son siège royal. Ils portent leurs vêtements de roi. Ils écoutent les prophètes leur parler au nom du SEIGNEUR.

Parmi eux, il y a un prophète appelé Sidequia, fils de Kenaana. Il s’est fabriqué des cornes de fer et il crie à Akab : « Le SEIGNEUR te le dit, tu attaqueras les Syriens comme un taureau aux cornes de fer, et tu les écraseras. »

Tous les autres prophètes confirment ce message en disant : « Tu peux aller attaquer Ramoth de Galaad. Tu réussiras, le SEIGNEUR te livrera la ville. »
Le prophète Michée prédit la défaite

Pendant ce temps, le messager va chercher Michée. Il lui dit : « Écoute, tous les prophètes annoncent un bon résultat pour le roi. Fais la même chose : annonce le succès. »

Mais Michée lui répond : « Par le SEIGNEUR vivant, j’annoncerai seulement ce que mon Dieu me dira. »

Puis Michée arrive près du roi Akab. Le roi lui demande : « Michée, est-ce que nous devons aller attaquer Ramoth de Galaad pour reprendre cette ville, oui ou non ? » Michée répond à Akab : « Vous pouvez y aller. Vous réussirez, le SEIGNEUR vous livrera la ville. »

Mais Akab lui dit : « Je t’ai toujours demandé de me dire seulement la vérité de la part du SEIGNEUR. »
16
Alors Michée déclare : « Dans une vision, j’ai vu tous les soldats répandus sur les montagnes, comme un troupeau sans berger. Le SEIGNEUR a dit : “Cette armée n’a plus de chef. Chacun doit rentrer en paix chez lui.” »
17
Le roi d’Israël dit alors au roi Josaphat : « Je te l’avais bien dit : cet homme-là ne m’annonce jamais rien de bon, mais toujours du mal ! »
18
Michée continue : « Écoutez donc ce que le SEIGNEUR dit. En effet, j’ai vu le SEIGNEUR assis sur son siège royal, avec tous ses serviteurs, debout à sa droite et à sa gauche dans le ciel.
19
Il a demandé : “Qui veut persuader Akab d’attaquer Ramoth de Galaad pour qu’il soit tué là-bas ?” L’un a dit une chose, l’autre une autre.
20
Pour finir, l’esprit qui inspire les prophètes s’est présenté devant le SEIGNEUR en disant : “Moi, j’irai le persuader.” Le SEIGNEUR a demandé : “Comment ?”
21
L’esprit des prophètes a répondu : “Je soufflerai des mensonges dans la bouche de tous les prophètes du roi.” Le SEIGNEUR lui a dit : “C’est un bon moyen pour le persuader. Maintenant, va faire ce que tu as proposé !” »

Michée ajoute : « Aujourd’hui, c’est ce qui se passe, Akab. Le SEIGNEUR a permis qu’un esprit mette des mensonges dans la bouche de tous tes prophètes. En réalité, le SEIGNEUR a décidé de t’envoyer un malheur. »
23
Alors Sidequia, fils de Kenaana, s’approche de Michée et lui donne une gifle en disant : « Comment l’esprit du SEIGNEUR est-il sorti de moi pour te parler ? »
24
Michée répond : « Tu le verras bien le jour où tu devras te cacher dans la pièce la plus retirée de ta maison. »
25
Alors le roi d’Israël crie à des serviteurs : « Arrêtez Michée ! Conduisez-le chez Amon, le gouverneur de Samarie et chez le prince Joas.
26
Dites-leur de ma part : “Mettez cet homme-là en prison. Donnez-lui seulement du pain et de l’eau jusqu’à ce que je revienne en bonne santé.” »
27
Michée lui répond : « Si tu reviens en bonne santé, c’est que le SEIGNEUR n’a pas parlé par ma bouche ! »
Le roi Achab est tué au combat
28
Akab, le roi d’Israël, et Josaphat, le roi de Juda, vont attaquer Ramoth de Galaad.
29
Akab dit à Josaphat : « Je vais changer de vêtements pour aller au combat. Mais toi, mets tes habits de roi. » Ainsi, le roi d’Israël met d’autres vêtements pour qu’on ne le reconnaisse pas, et les deux rois partent au combat.
30
Or, le roi de Syrie a donné cet ordre aux chefs qui commandent ses chars de guerre : « N’attaquez pas les soldats ni les officiers, attaquez seulement le roi d’Israël. »
31
Quand les chefs de chars voient Josaphat, ils disent : « C’est sûrement le roi d’Israël. » Et ils vont vers lui pour l’attaquer. Mais le roi pousse un cri. Le SEIGNEUR Dieu vient à son aide et les détourne de lui.
32
Alors les chefs de chars voient que ce n’est pas le roi d’Israël. Ils le laissent tranquille.
33
Or, un soldat syrien tire une flèche au hasard, et la flèche touche le roi d’Israël entre les deux parties de la cuirasse qui le protège. Le roi dit à celui qui conduit son char : « Je suis blessé, fais demi-tour et sors-moi de là ! »

Ce jour-là, le combat est très violent, et le roi doit être tenu debout dans son char jusqu’au soir, face aux Syriens. Puis il meurt au coucher du soleil.

וַיִּקְבֹּ֨ץ מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל אֶֽת־הַנְּבִאִים֮ אַרְבַּ֣ע מֵא֣וֹת אִישׁ֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם הֲנֵלֵ֞ךְ אֶל־רָמֹ֥ת גִּלְעָ֛ד לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה אִם־אֶחְדָּ֑ל וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ עֲלֵ֔ה וְיִתֵּ֥ן הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל ׀ אֶֽל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֡ט ע֣וֹד אִישׁ־אֶחָ֡ד לִדְרוֹשׁ֩ אֶת־יְהוָ֨ה מֵֽאֹת֜וֹ וַאֲנִ֣י שְׂנֵאתִ֗יהוּ כִּֽי־אֵ֠ינֶנּוּ מִתְנַבֵּ֨א עָלַ֤י לְטוֹבָה֙ כִּ֣י כָל־יָמָ֣יו לְרָעָ֔ה ה֖וּא מִיכָ֣יְהוּ בֶן־יִמְלָ֑א וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט אַל־יֹאמַ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ כֵּֽן׃

וַיִּקְרָא֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶל־סָרִ֖יס אֶחָ֑ד וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מַהֵ֖ר *מיכהו **מִיכָ֥יְהוּ בֶן־יִמְלָֽא׃

וּמֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֡ה יוֹשְׁבִים֩ אִ֨ישׁ עַל־כִּסְא֜וֹ מְלֻבָּשִׁ֤ים בְּגָדִים֙ וְיֹשְׁבִ֣ים בְּגֹ֔רֶן פֶּ֖תַח שַׁ֣עַר שֹׁמְר֑וֹן וְכָל־הַ֨נְּבִיאִ֔ים מִֽתְנַבְּאִ֖ים לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ ל֛וֹ צִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ בֶֽן־כְּנַעֲנָ֖ה קַרְנֵ֣י בַרְזֶ֑ל וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה בְּאֵ֛לֶּה תְּנַגַּ֥ח אֶת־אֲרָ֖ם עַד־כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃

וְכָל־הַ֨נְּבִאִ֔ים נִבְּאִ֥ים כֵּ֖ן לֵאמֹ֑ר עֲלֵ֞ה רָמֹ֤ת גִּלְעָד֙ וְהַצְלַ֔ח וְנָתַ֥ן יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

וְהַמַּלְאָ֞ךְ אֲשֶׁר־הָלַ֣ךְ ׀ לִקְרֹ֣א לְמִיכָ֗יְהוּ דִּבֶּ֤ר אֵלָיו֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הִנֵּ֞ה דִּבְרֵ֧י הַנְּבִאִ֛ים פֶּֽה־אֶחָ֥ד ט֖וֹב אֶל־הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וִֽיהִי־נָ֧א דְבָרְךָ֛ כְּאַחַ֥ד מֵהֶ֖ם וְדִבַּ֥רְתָּ טּֽוֹב׃

וַיֹּ֖אמֶר מִיכָ֑יְהוּ חַי־יְהוָ֕ה כִּ֛י אֶת־אֲשֶׁר־יֹאמַ֥ר אֱלֹהַ֖י אֹת֥וֹ אֲדַבֵּֽר׃

וַיָּבֹא֮ אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֵלָ֗יו מִיכָה֙ הֲנֵלֵ֞ךְ אֶל־רָמֹ֥ת גִּלְעָ֛ד לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה אִם־אֶחְדָּ֑ל וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ עֲל֣וּ וְהַצְלִ֔יחוּ וְיִנָּתְנ֖וּ בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ עַד־כַּמֶּ֥ה פְעָמִ֖ים אֲנִ֣י מַשְׁבִּיעֶ֑ךָ אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־תְדַבֵּ֥ר אֵלַ֛י רַק־אֱמֶ֖ת בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר רָאִ֤יתִי אֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ נְפוֹצִ֣ים עַל־הֶֽהָרִ֔ים כַּצֹּ֕אן אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין־לָהֶ֖ן רֹעֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ לֹֽא־אֲדֹנִ֣ים לָאֵ֔לֶּה יָשׁ֥וּבוּ אִישׁ־לְבֵית֖וֹ בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃
17
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט הֲלֹא֙ אָמַ֣רְתִּי אֵלֶ֔יךָ לֹא־יִתְנַבֵּ֥א עָלַ֛י ט֖וֹב כִּ֥י אִם־לְרָֽע׃

וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לָכֵ֖ן שִׁמְע֣וּ דְבַר־יְהוָ֑ה רָאִ֤יתִי אֶת־יְהוָה֙ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב עַל־כִּסְא֔וֹ וְכָל־צְבָ֤א הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ עֹֽמְדִ֔ים עַל־יְמִינ֖וֹ וּשְׂמֹאלֽוֹ׃
19
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֗ה מִ֤י יְפַתֶּה֙ אֶת־אַחְאָ֣ב מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְיַ֕עַל וְיִפֹּ֖ל בְּרָמ֣וֹת גִּלְעָ֑ד וַיֹּ֕אמֶר זֶ֚ה אֹמֵ֣ר כָּ֔כָה וְזֶ֖ה אֹמֵ֥ר כָּֽכָה׃
20
וַיֵּצֵ֣א הָר֗וּחַ וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אֲנִ֣י אֲפַתֶּ֑נּוּ וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יְהוָ֛ה אֵלָ֖יו בַּמָּֽה׃
21
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אֵצֵא֙ וְהָיִ֙יתִי֙ לְר֣וּחַ שֶׁ֔קֶר בְּפִ֖י כָּל־נְבִיאָ֑יו וַיֹּ֗אמֶר תְּפַתֶּה֙ וְגַם־תּוּכָ֔ל צֵ֖א וַעֲשֵׂה־כֵֽן׃
22
וְעַתָּ֗ה הִנֵּ֨ה נָתַ֤ן יְהוָה֙ ר֣וּחַ שֶׁ֔קֶר בְּפִ֖י נְבִיאֶ֣יךָ אֵ֑לֶּה וַֽיהוָ֔ה דִּבֶּ֥ר עָלֶ֖יךָ רָעָֽה׃
23
וַיִּגַּשׁ֙ צִדְקִיָּ֣הוּ בֶֽן־כְּנַעֲנָ֔ה וַיַּ֥ךְ אֶת־מִיכָ֖יְהוּ עַל־הַלֶּ֑חִי וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אֵ֣י זֶ֤ה הַדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ עָבַ֧ר רֽוּחַ־יְהוָ֛ה מֵאִתִּ֖י לְדַבֵּ֥ר אֹתָֽךְ׃
24
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מִיכָ֔יְהוּ הִנְּךָ֥ רֹאֶ֖ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא אֲשֶׁ֥ר תָּב֛וֹא חֶ֥דֶר בְּחֶ֖דֶר לְהֵחָבֵֽא׃
25
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל קְחוּ֙ אֶת־מִיכָ֔יְהוּ וַהֲשִׁיבֻ֖הוּ אֶל־אָמ֣וֹן שַׂר־הָעִ֑יר וְאֶל־יוֹאָ֖שׁ בֶּן־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
26
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֗ם כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ שִׂ֥ימוּ זֶ֖ה בֵּ֣ית הַכֶּ֑לֶא וְהַאֲכִלֻ֜הוּ לֶ֤חֶם לַ֙חַץ֙ וּמַ֣יִם לַ֔חַץ עַ֖ד שׁוּבִ֥י בְשָׁלֽוֹם׃
27
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מִיכָ֔יְהוּ אִם־שׁ֤וֹב תָּשׁוּב֙ בְּשָׁל֔וֹם לֹא־דִבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בִּ֑י וַיֹּ֕אמֶר שִׁמְע֖וּ עַמִּ֥ים כֻּלָּֽם׃

וַיַּ֧עַל מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֖ה אֶל־רָמֹ֥ת גִּלְעָֽד׃

וַיֹּאמֶר֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט הִתְחַפֵּשׂ֙ וָב֣וֹא בַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וְאַתָּ֖ה לְבַ֣שׁ בְּגָדֶ֑יךָ וַיִּתְחַפֵּשׂ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

וּמֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֡ם צִוָּה֩ אֶת־שָׂרֵ֨י הָרֶ֤כֶב אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֚א תִּלָּ֣חֲמ֔וּ אֶת־הַקָּטֹ֖ן אֶת־הַגָּד֑וֹל כִּ֛י אִֽם־אֶת־מֶ֥לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְבַדּֽוֹ׃

וַיְהִ֡י כִּרְאוֹת֩ שָׂרֵ֨י הָרֶ֜כֶב אֶת־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט וְהֵ֤מָּה אָֽמְרוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל ה֔וּא וַיָּסֹ֥בּוּ עָלָ֖יו לְהִלָּחֵ֑ם וַיִּזְעַ֤ק יְהֽוֹשָׁפָט֙ וַֽיהוָ֣ה עֲזָר֔וֹ וַיְסִיתֵ֥ם אֱלֹהִ֖ים מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

וַיְהִ֗י כִּרְאוֹת֙ שָׂרֵ֣י הָרֶ֔כֶב כִּ֥י לֹא־הָיָ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ מֵאַחֲרָֽיו׃
33
וְאִ֗ישׁ מָשַׁ֤ךְ בַּקֶּ֙שֶׁת֙ לְתֻמּ֔וֹ וַיַּךְ֙ אֶת־מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בֵּ֥ין הַדְּבָקִ֖ים וּבֵ֣ין הַשִּׁרְיָ֑ן וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָֽרַכָּ֗ב הֲפֹ֧ךְ *ידיך **יָדְךָ֛ וְהוֹצֵאתַ֥נִי מִן־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה כִּ֥י הָחֳלֵֽיתִי׃
34
וַתַּ֤עַל הַמִּלְחָמָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא וּמֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הָיָ֨ה מַעֲמִ֧יד בַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֛ה נֹ֥כַח אֲרָ֖ם עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב וַיָּ֕מָת לְעֵ֖ת בּ֥וֹא הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃
