2 Chroniques 25.16

Et il arriva, comme il parlait au roi, que celui-ci lui dit : Est-ce qu'on t'a fait conseiller du roi ? Désiste-toi. Pourquoi te frapperait-on ? Et le prophète se désista, et dit : Je sais que Dieu a résolu de te perdre, parce que tu as fait cela, et que tu n'as pas écouté mon conseil.

Mais Amassia lui coupe la parole. Il lui demande : « Est-ce que je t’ai nommé conseiller du roi ? N’insiste pas si tu ne veux pas recevoir des coups ! » Le prophète n’insiste pas, pourtant il dit : « Je le sais, Dieu a décidé de te détruire, parce que tu as agi ainsi et que tu n’écoutes pas mon conseil. »
