Grec : "Mais nous-mêmes avions en nous-mêmes la sentence de mort ;" tout semblait l'annoncer ; nous avions en nous, selon la volonté de Dieu, ce pressentiment, afin que notre délivrance inattendue nous apparût avec d'autant plus d'évidence comme une œuvre du Dieu qui ressuscite les morts.

Là où il n'y a plus d'espérance humaine, il reste toujours au chrétien la toutepuissance de Dieu. C'est pourquoi il ne craint pas les dangers, car, quoi qu'il arrive, l'issue est pour lui une victoire, soit sur la terre, soit dans le ciel.
