Précisément l'opposé de ce qui précède : la connaissance de JésusChrist, lumière divine, rend la vue pénétrante.

Le mot grec traduit par : c'est un homme à courte vue, est le participe du verbe être myope.

Placé après les mots : il est aveugle, ce participe en atténue le sens : ou du moins il est myope. Les hommes les plus clairvoyants dans les choses de ce monde ont souvent la vue courte, sont même aveugles, dès qu'il s'agit de la vie de leur âme et de leur avenir éternel.
