Après avoir mis en garde ses frères contre les entreprises des séducteurs, Pierre finit par où il avait commencé, c'est-à-dire par leur recommander de croître.

Grandir dans la grâce, c'est-à-dire dans la possession du salut, (2Pierre 1.2) et dans la connaissance expérimentale de notre Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ, (2Pierre 1.8) c'est là le vrai secret pour échapper à tous les dangers de fausses spéculations.

Amen manque dans B. Hébreux 13.21 ; 1Pierre 4.11.

"Il dit maintenant, afin que nous ne fraudions point Christ de sa gloire, tandis que nous serons en ce monde.
