World English Bible But Jehoshaphat said, "Isn't there here a prophet of Yahweh, that we may inquire of Yahweh by him?" One of the king of Israel's servants answered, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah."

Josaphat sait bien que celui qui a permis le danger, est aussi celui qui peut le conjurer.

L'un des serviteurs. Joram ignore ou feint d'ignorer la présence d'Elisée. L'histoire de Naaman présente un trait tout pareil (5.7) ; voir aussi 1.6.

Qui versait l'eau : service quotidien dont un disciple intime pouvait seul s'acquitter.
