Un prophète lui-même peut se tromper lorsqu'il parle avant d'avoir entendu (Jean 5.20,30). Nous constatons ici clairement la distinction entre la parole du prophète comme simple homme et sa parole comme organe de Dieu (comparez 1Samuel 16.6-7). Dans ce second cas, la décision prophétique est si peu l'expression du sentiment personnel de celui qui l'énonce, qu'elle peut même y être directement opposée, comme cela arrive en cette circonstance.
