Un livre renfermant la révélation que l'ange apporte ; petit parce que cette révélation embrasse un champ moins vaste que celle du livre mentionné à Apocalypse 5 ; ouvert et non scellé comme celui de Apocalypse 5, car Dieu n'a plus rien à cacher ; maintenant que le septième sceau du grand livre a été ouvert, Jean pourra, sans l'aide de personne, (Apocalypse 5.4,5) en connaître le contenu. (verset 8 et suivants ; Apocalypse 11.1 et suivants) Ce contenu, ce sont les événements annoncés dans le reste de l'Apocalypse et qui précéderont la fin.

Pour montrer que la domination du Dieu qu'il représente s'étend à l'univers entier. (Psaumes 8.7)
