World English Bible The dragon grew angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep God's commandments and hold Jesus' testimony.

L'Église judéo-chrétienne ayant échappé à ses poursuites, Satan s'en va faire la guerre au reste de ses enfants.

L'auteur ne peut avoir en vue que les Eglises du monde païen, filles, pour la plupart, de l'Eglise mère de Judée, d'où étaient sortis les apôtres qui les fondèrent.

Les chrétiens d'entre les païens, désignés comme ceux qui gardent les commandements de Dieu (Apocalypse 14.12) et qui ont ou retiennent le témoignage de Jésus, (Apocalypse 6.9) seront exposés alors à de grandes persécutions suscitées par Satan.
