Mais... L'ange ne quittera pas Daniel sans lui avoir fait connaître l'issue glorieuse de la nouvelle lutte qui va commencer.

Le livre de vérité est le livre des décrets divins où les événements de l'histoire et le terme auquel ils doivent aboutir sont consignés d'avance. Psaumes 139.16 ; Apocalypse 5.1.

Il n'y en a pas un. Parmi les anges, chefs des autres peuples, il n'en est aucun qui s'associe à la lutte que l'Ange de l'Eternel a entreprise contre les Grecs, de concert avec l'ange du peuple juif.

Contre ceux-là. Ce sont les chefs de Perse et de Grèce mentionnés dans le verset précédent.

      Daniel 12

      1 "At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the book.
      4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge shall be increased."
