Segond 21 Pendant la fête, tu ne mangeras pas de pain levé, mais tu mangeras durant 7 jours des pains sans levain, du pain de misère, car c'est avec précipitation que tu es sorti d'Egypte. Ce sera le cas afin que tu te souviennes toute ta vie du jour où tu es sorti d'Egypte.

Avec des pains sans levain (Exode 12.15). L'absence de levain n'est pas mentionnée ici comme un symbole de pureté (1Corinthiens 5.6-7), mais comme un indice de la précipitation du départ (Exode 12.34) et des circonstances difficiles qui, cette nuit-là et les jours suivants, empêchèrent le peuple en fuite de se procurer une nourriture plus savoureuse (pain d'affliction, de misère).
