Pas connue : venant par conséquent de loin.

D'autres dieux. Le dernier terme de la catastrophe sera la déchéance religieuse persistant jusque dans l'état de châtiment où il sera réduit (Ezéchiel 14.1-23 ; 20.31) ; ce qui n'empêche point que le terme de cet état ne puisse être la conversion finale du peuple, annoncée (Lévitique 26.40,41-45 ; Deutéronome 4.30) comme devant avoir lieu dans la terre d'exil.

Du bois. Expression de mépris, plus méprisante encore que s'il y avait dieux de bois ; comparez 4.28.
