World English Bible At evening, behold, terror! Before the morning, they are no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us.

Le soir, Jérusalem est dans l'épouvante en voyant le flot irrésistible approcher de ses murs ; au matin, plus d'ennemis. Voyez 2Rois 18.17 et 2Rois 19.35 :
Il arriva cette nuit-là qu'un ange de l'Eternel sortit et tua 185 000 hommes au camp des Assyriens ; et quand on fut levé de bon matin, voilà c'étaient tous des corps morts.

C'est au moment de la plus grande détresse que Dieu fait éclater sa délivrance ; plus tôt, on ne reconnaîtrait pas sa main ; plus tard, il serait trop tard.
