45 à 49 Procès et exécution des deux sœurs. Il est parlé du jugement de Samarie comme d'un événement encore futur, quoiqu'il fût accompli depuis plus d'un siècle. Afin de faire ressortir l'analogie de leur sort, les deux sœurs ont été réunies dans ce tableau, dont la réalisation est encore future pour Jérusalem. Le châtiment de Juda apparaît ainsi comme l'appoint de celui des dix tribus dont Juda a imité jusqu'au bout les débordements.
