La mortalité (littéralement : la peste) et la fièvre sont ici personnifiées comme des effets émanant de Dieu, et représentées comme deux satellites dont l'un va devant, ainsi qu'un courrier, tandis que l'autre est comme évoqué par les pas de l'Eternel.
