Ces mots ont été traduits de deux manières : comme une colonne faite au tour ; ou : comme un poteau dans un champ, etc. Nous avons adopté cette seconde interprétation, comme la plus conforme au contexte : Ne vous laissez pas épouvanter par ces dieux qui sont aussi impuissants que les mannequins dressés dans un champ pour épouvanter les oiseaux.
